Drum roll please, the nominees are:

Savvy by Ingrid Law
Join Mibs on her mysterious thirteenth birthday as she anticipates her magical savvy, which is a hereditary superpower everyone in her family gets. One brother can cause hurricanes, one can manipulate electricity! But before her birthday arrives, her Dad is in a terrible accident and has fallen into a coma.  Mibs thinks her new savvy will help her Dad so she becomes a stowaway on a bus she thought was headed toward the hospital. Instead, she finds herself on a strange road trip with her siblings, the preacher’s kids and a bible salesman. Will she make it to her Dad in time, and is her new savvy a life saver or something she dreads?!

The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle by Avi
Thirteen-year-old Charlotte boards a ship to travel home to America in 1832. Her chaperone family didn’t show up and now she is the only female on a ship with a mysterious stowaway and a dangerous, mutinous crew who warn her not to make the trip alone. It seems the only people she trusts onboard are Captain Jaggery and the cook. Until she witnesses the horrible things her confidences cause the Captain to do. Now in order to survive she has to join the crew as a seaman. She finds herself on trial for murder and due to be hanged before they reach land. Is she guilty? This book is her exciting tale of what really happened on the ship.

Alvin Ho: Allergic to Girls, School and Other Scary Things by Lenore Look
Alvin Ho is afraid of everything, he has lists of what scares him including tunnels, elevators, and girls, but most of all, he’s afraid of school. In fact, he is so petrified that he doesn’t talk in school, but that is not who he really is. At home, he is a superhero called Firecracker Man and a gentleman in training like his dad. He’s also a great middle brother. He has his own Personal Disaster Kit (PDK for short) stocked with all the things he needs to survive. Sometimes though, you can’t prepare for everything. If you had a PDK, what  would you put in it?

Or, you can VOTE HERE. Voting runs November 6 - November 20.
