What the Denver Public Library has to offer teens:

The Central Library houses an extensive Young Adult fiction collection in the Burnham Hoyt room on Level One; featuring popular new titles, old favorites, and many paperback series. A small teen reading room contains recorded books, over 50 teen magazines, comic books, graphic novels and popular non-fiction. Denver Public Library branches have Young Adult collections of varying sizes, visit your neighborhood branch and ask a librarian what materials are currently available for teens.

The Library Lab on Level Four of the Central Library has an area reserved for middle school and high school students to do homework on afternoons and weekends. Computers are available for word processing and Internet research. Library staff are also there to help.

Each summer, the Teen Reading Program (TRP) offers prizes to teens who read! Prizes include: food coupons, new paperback books, sports tickets, and chances to win a Dell computer system. In 2005, over 6,000 teens participated. There are many fun, free programs offered at all Denver Public Library locations, just for teens, all summer long.

Several branches offer regular programs for teenagers. (See events schedule) or visit a neighborhood branch to find out what’s being offered in your area.
