In 2007 a series of attacks happened. The attacks continued on to 2008. All the attacks happened on top of buildings in downtown Denver. They all happened at midnight. And, the individuals who were attacked said a winged beast did it.
January 1st 2008 midnight
Bob ‘a bum’ fell asleep on the sidewalk of a street of downtown Denver. For some reason he woke up and saw a figure on a building. The figure spread its wings and swooped down on to the sidewalk. The figure was none other than a gargoyle. The gargoyle had the mouth of a reptile, green eyes, claws on its hands, scaly gray skin, two horns on its head and a pair of wings.
Agent Johnson wanted to find the attacker and bring him to justice. He didn’t believe in anything that you can’t see. And if he could see something he would believe in it. He had been an agent for 9 years and he thought if he could find the attacker it would be a highlight in his career. And so he then set off to find the attacker.
It is midnight on Halloween in 2008 and Tom was called out on an emergency call to fix a busted power generator on top of an office building. Tom was 5 feet tall, he was short, he had short hair and brown eyes. He had come from Kentucky to Colorado. Because he wanted to be a baseball player in Kentucky, but, he couldn’t so he came to Colorado. In Colorado he was in a car crash where he should have died, but, tonight his luck was about to run out.
Tom got his toolbox and began to take apart the generator but he heard a voice call his name. He saw a shadow on the rooftop and it spread its wings. Tom saw a brief glimpse of the figure because of the shine of the moonlight and it was the gargoyle. The gargoyle grabbed Tom by the neck and took a bite out of Tom’s shoulder. The gargoyle then spoke in a very deep and unhuman voice.
“That should satisfy my hunger until the next midnight comes, in which my hunger will be uncontrollable.” –said the gargoyle.
The gargoyle then lifted up Tom and threw him. Tom went flying off the roof on to the city streets. A car was going down the road and then all the sudden Tom landed on the roof of it. The car was destroyed. He was rushed to the hospital, he survived, but, had to spend the rest of his life in a wheel chair.
Johnson then became aware of the situation. He then looked in all the files and created a map of where the attacks had happened. He then went at 12:00 to the spot where Bob had been attacked. The sidewalk where Bob was attacked seemed abandoned, and the only light came from the light pole. Johnson began to fall asleep, but just then, he heard a noise like the sound of a pair of wings flapping. He looked up and there on the light post the gargoyle stood.
“You need to stop stalking me…If I ever, ever, see you stalking me again the consequences will be beyond even worse than what I have done in the past.” –said the gargoyle.
Johnson then gathered enough courage to ask the winged beast a question.
“Why do you attack people?” –asked Johnson
“I need to satisfy my hunger.” –simply said the gargoyle.
And then the gargoyle jumped off the light post, spread its wings and then flew off into the night. Johnson now believed in the gargoyle. He believed that it did exist. And now, he believed that it was responsible for the attacks. He must have not listened to the gargoyle’s demands, because two weeks later he climbed on top of an office building at midnight.
He brought his pair of binoculars and through them he saw the midnight skyline. The midnight skyline was the Denver city skyline. The office buildings, that not a soul was in, had their lights left on and it brought light to the darkness. He looked through the binoculars and across the roof of a building saw the gargoyle attacking a man. He then saw the gargoyle grab the man and fly off with him. And then a few seconds later the man fell on top of the roof Johnson was standing on. The gargoyle had taken a bite out of the man, and then, the man spoke to Johnson.
“We need to get you to a hospital!” –said Johnson.
“The beast has something he wants me to tell you.” –said the man.
“What?” –demanded Johnson.
“You will know the truth tomorrow at midnight on the roof top of your apartment.” –said the man.
And so the man was sent to a hospital. The next midnight Johnson went on top of his apartment building. He saw nothing, but just then, he felt something inside him bursting out. He watched in horror as his hands turned into claws, his skin turned scaly gray, his eyes turned green, two horns then appeared on his head, his mouth turned into one like a reptile and then a pair of wings burst out of his back. And so it is now clear that he is the gargoyle.
