Revolution Book Club at the Athmar Park Branch

Revolution Book Club

The Revolution Book Club is made up of teens in Athmar Park committed to bringing positive change to their community by growing as individuals though reading and discussing books. The club meets once a month at the Athmar Park Branch Library to munch on yummy organic snacks, discuss the current book selection, and work on projects to better their community.

"I like this book because you know it gets worse and worse and you want to know the reason why people are on the tapes and who. I gave a presentation of this book in class and I already have a waiting list pretty much for who wants to read it next. It's a big hit and everyone enjoys it."

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

6. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

A coming of age novel about Charlie, a freshman in high school who is a wallflower, shy and introspective, and very intelligent. He deals with the usual teen problems, but also with the suicide of his best friend.

"Want To Go Private is an awesome book. It's a book that would teach you a lesson for many girls. This book talks about how girls should be careful when they talk to guys on the chat, or else something bad could happen to the girls."
