The Collaborative Summer Library Program has announced the winners of the 2017 Teen Video Challenge!

The Teen Video Challenge encouraged teens to create short public service announcements that promote reading and library use over the summer to other teens. The 2017 theme was "Build a Better World" and fourteen states participated in the contest this year. The winning videos illustrate the diversity of our nation and of the teens that created them.

There were some incredible submissions to the Colorado competition, and we're very proud to have two Denver Public Library Teen Advisory Board submissions as finalists:

“Fish Tower” by the Sam Gary Branch Teen Advisory Board - 2nd Place

“Build a Better World” by the Hampden Branch Teen Advisory Board - Finalist

View all of the Colorado finalist videos on YouTube and see the National Winners on the Collaborative Summer Library Program website!

I really enjoyed both finalists.  Though I have to admit I liked the 2nd place just a smidge more. Would love to hear from the creators about why they decided to do stop motion and the black and white theme.
