Teen Summer Reads

Book cover for Summer Days and Summer Nights

Looking for something to read, but don't want it to ruin your summer? How about some books that take place during summertime?! Here are some that I have personally read.

When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon (Dimple thought she had her summer figured out. Go to web development camp, and win! But now there are so many detours, she's not sure what she wants.)

The Great American Whatever by Tim Federle (Quinn has a lot to figure out about life, especially since his life has changed so much in the last year or so.)

Summer Days and Summer Nights (This book includes 12 short stories about summer. Plus there is a companion book about winter vacations that is just as awesome and you can add it your TBR pile.)

One or Two Things I Learned About Love by Dyan Sheldon  (This book wasn't particularly my favorite, but don't let my opinion stop you from reading it. It could be your favorite book of the summer!)

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Series by Ann Brashares (This series is probably as old as some of you, but it's still a great series. Plus there are 2 movies you can watch!)

Here are some great books, but they haven't been tested out by me yet. If you end up liking one of these books, tell me that I need to read ASAP!

Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson

99 Days by Katie Cotungo

Love Songs and Other Lies by Jessica Pennington

Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett

The Summer of Jordi Perez (And the Best Burger in Los Angeles) by Amy Spalding

The Way You Make Me Feel by Maurene Goo

And don't forget to tell me some of your favorites or not so favorites. Enjoy!
