Dreading the long, hot days of summer ahead?  Of course not! But just in case you find yourself in the throes of boredom, try out these fun, free or almost free activities:

Visit a museum. Did you know you can get free passes through Denver Public Library?

Sleep under the stars

Have a water fight

Pretend you’re a tourist and visit one of Denver’s attractions

Have a picnic

Pull an all-nighter with friends

Perform a random act of kindness

Watch a sunrise

Turn off your electronics for 24 hours

Get some sidewalk chalk and decorate your neighborhood

Put together a 500 or 1000 piece puzzle

Stay in your pajamas and watch movies all day. Don’t pay for them--borrow them from the Denver Public Library branch near you or stream them through Kanopy or Overdrive!

Invent a new recipe (no one said it has to be good)

Play flashlight tag

Make a blanket fort

Get a My Denver card and lounge around the pool (this one you should do every day the temperature is over 80 degrees)

No matter what you decide to do with your summer, enjoy!
