The ideaLAB, the digital media lab for teens at the Central Library, is starting a Teen Advisory Board! We're going to be expanding soon - making new space, getting new equipment - and we need some teens who are willing to help us plan it out.
Members of the TAB will help us plan the expansion of the ideaLAB, help us figure out what cool new things to buy, and help plan and run programs (like Minecraft nights and open houses) in the ideaLAB. In return, you will get an ideaLAB that you helped create, something impressive-looking to put on your college application and resume, and pizza. You will answer such important questions as:
  • How should the lab be set up?
  • What kind of software and hardware should we have?
  • What kind of events should we host?
  • Are there enough couches in here?
  • What should we put on the walls?
  • Are our rules working?
  • How much Minecraft is too much Minecraft? Is there such a thing?
  • How much pizza can we eat?
  • Can we come up with a better name than “Teen Advisory Board”?

If you're interested in applying to be part of the ideaLAB TAB, just fill out our online application. Any questions? Just leave them in the comments!

And just to remind you: the ideaLAB is open Monday through Friday, 3-6 PM, and Saturday from 11 AM to 4 PM. Come by and visit us sometime - make some art, record some music, hack some circuits, whatever floats your boat. We're in the Central library (14th & Broadway), on Level 4.
