Did you know this? I only found this out a year ago. I think it’s a great idea to celebrate the Dark Knight. Why? Because he tends to be children’s and adults’ favorite superhero. Heck, some people end up loving Batman’s archrivals more than other superheros, like the Joker, Harley Quinn, and the Riddler to name a few. When Batman vs. Superman came out in movie theaters, I knew more people who wanted Batman to win over Superman. And did he?

Mac DeMarco’s third effort delivers a music of the same fervor we witnessed on Rock and Roll Night Club and 2. Recorded in his apartment by himself, DeMarco’s signature sound increasingly becomes his own with the addition of synths and a dash of 80’s nostalgia. His song craft reveals a psychedelic pop prowess that stands on a solid foundation of songwriting that improves with every record. Highlights such as “Blue Boy," “Let Her Go,” “Passing Out the Pieces,” and “Chamber of Reflection” stand out as heavy hitters in DeMarco’s arsenal of jangly pop songs.
