Blogging on Evolver


1. Sign in. Click the "Login to Evolver" link in the upper right-hand corner of any page on Evolver.

Enter your Username and Password. If you have forgotten your password, click the “Request new password” tab and a temporary login will be emailed to you.

2. Create your blog entry. Click “Add content” on the left.

3. Click “Teen Blog” on the menu.

4. Fill out the form.

  • Title – Required. Be specific and grab the reader’s interest.
  • Age – Optional.
  • School – Optional.
  • Blog Category – Optional. Choose only one from Books, Create & Connect, Event, Fun, Homework or Life. If you’re not sure which category is best, leave it blank and we will select one for you.
  • Free Tagging – Required. Examples could be Science Fiction, Hip Hop, and Documentaries. Whatever will help the reader find similar posts. They will also show up on the “tag cloud” on the blogs page. Separate tags with a comma.

Add an Image – Images are optional, but draw interest to the post. To add an image, first save an image to your computer or flash drive.

Click “Browse” to navigate to the saved image and select it.

Click upload. If you want to add more than one image use the next "Add a new file" and follow the same steps.

Type your blog text in the Blog field – The toolbars at the top are similar to Word with Bold, Italic, and Bullets.

Adding links – The web link allows you to create an easy html link to text in your blog. Highlight the text you want to use for the link:

Click on the web link icon and paste or type the URL into the pop up box.

5. Click the Save button. Once your blog is saved it will be sent to DPL staff to review. It will be published within one day, not including weekends or holidays.

6. Logging Out. Once you are finished, click the Home link at the top.

Then the Log Out link in the left column.

7. Changing your Username or Password. If you would like to change your user name or password click the “Edit” tab. Make changes and click “save” at the bottom of the page.
