Blue Spruce Award Voting at Cherry Creek!

Teens! This is your time to vote! December is coming to end and that means the 2014 Blue Spruce Award voting is almost finished!

The Blue Spruce Award is a contest held throughout the state of Colorado in which teens (grades 6-12) nominate and then vote on titles to proclaim a winner. The nominations are already in for the year and there are 20 outstanding and very diverse titles to dig into!

Denver Area Teen Wins Reading Contest and $2,000 for Denver Public Library!

Denver teen, Jesus Reyes, age 17, was selected among hundreds of entries as a regional winner of YALSA’s (Young Adult Library Services Association) WrestleMania Reading Challenge, and in March he traveled to Miami where he won the championship which came along with ringside seats to Wrestlemania XXVIII. Reyes, an avid fan of professional wrestling, is a customer at Denver Public Library’s Athmar Park Branch Library.
