Freedom of Information Day

What is Freedom of Information Day, you ask?  It's a day near James Madison’s birthday (this year it’s on his actual birthday, Saturday, March 16) to celebrate our right to access information held by the federal government.  President Madison is considered the Father of the Constitution and was a big believer in the openness of government, as well as the fourth President of the United States.
