Adeline Yen Mah's book, Along the River: A Chinese Cinderella story is for young adults that love historical fantasy. This book has a very good story. This story is based on a true story od Mei Lan. So basically in this story a young girl named CC slips and falls into a coma and when she awakens again after three weeks she pretty much forgets everything and everyday someone had to remind her about who she was. This story has a different twist to it. after she awakens, she has nightmare and visions of her past life and from that point on the story goes back and forth from ancient china to modern day china. And I gave this book a three star because I didn't really like the way it was put together. At the beginning of the book I thought CC was the main character but through out the book I got confused. This book is really confusing but I think people who are good readers would understand it better. This book all over is fun, adventurous and very interesting. I would definitely recommend this book to people that like having fun while reading. So overall I think this book was alright.
